This publication presents the main components of Québec’s biofood industry and gives a quick overview of each sector’s performance.
The 2011 edition comprises five chapters illustrating the evolution of the industry between 2007 and 2010. The first chapter provides an overall economic profile of the biofood industry dealing, among other things, with total agricultural production value, expenditures, and the economic performance of the food and beverage, and international trade sectors. The following three chapters are on animal production, crop production, and fisheries. Finally, the fifth chapter provides an overview of the principal data for Québec in comparison with North American results.
