This publication, devoted to healthy aging, highlights the positive aspects of the health of Quebecers aged 65 and over and living at home. Three age groups of seniors were studied. Several indicators were used to describe the different aspects of their health: their perception of their health, their functional capacities (e.g. walking, hearing), their autonomy in daily activities, their level of physical activity, their body weight, and the presence of selected chronic conditions. The publication also proposes an overall index measure that identifies seniors in good health. This statistical portrait is based on the data in the 2009-2010 Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS).
