1. Student region of residence is determined using secondary school information. This information is gathered using a unique permanent code attributed to secondary level students, and since this code remains the same throughout their studies, it is possible to establish a cohort of university graduates. This method is essential since information on student region of residence is not available for higher levels of education.
2. The total for Québec as a whole also includes university graduates having completed their secondary studies in Québec, but to whom we could not assign a region of origin.

NSE: Natural sciences and engineering (includes the disciplines of engineering, natural sciences, architecture, mathematics and computer science).
