1. Consultation of a health professional in person or by phone at least once in the past 12 months.
2. The 95% confidence interval (CI) indicates the limits around a sample estimate in which the true population value is expected to fall, 19 out of 20 times. When confidence intervals overlap, the difference is not considered statistically significant.
3. Health region.
4. Includes ten categories of health professionals: general practitioner or pediatrician (for 12-17 year olds), medical specialist, dentist or orthodontist, eye specialist, nurse, chiropractor, physiotherapist, social worker, psychologist and speech therapist, audiologist or occupational therapist.
5. Family physician, pediatrician (for 12-17 year olds) or general practitioner.
