1. Given that the label of the question on perception of health status used in the 1987 Santé Québec survey and the 1992-1993 and 1998 Quebec Health and Social Surveys differs from the one used in the Canadian Community Health Survey, cycle 1.1 (2000-2001), cycle 2.1 (2003) and cycle 3.1 (2005), these data are not exactly comparable. In 1987, 1992-1993 and 1998, the person was asked to compare his/her health status to other people the same age, which was not the case in 2000-2001, 2003 and 2005.
2. Health region.
3. Given that the data are from surveys, the 95% confidence interval (C.I.) indicates the limits around a sample estimate in which the true population value is expected to fail, 19 out of 20 times. When confidence intervals overlap, the difference is not considered statistically significant.
4. Population estimated without adjustment for partial non-response for 2000-2001, 2003 and 2005.
* Coefficient of variation between 15% and 25%; the estimate should be interpreted with caution.
** Coefficient of variation greater than 25 %; the estimate lacks precision. The data is provided for information only.
