2. The 95% confidence interval (C.I.) indicates the limits around a sample estimate in which the true population value is expected to fail, 19 out of 20 times. When confidence intervals overlap, the difference is not considered statistically significant.
3. The cancer screening program counsels to have a mammogram every two years (women 50 to 69 years of age) and a Pap test every three years. It should be noted that these data do not distinguish women who undergo these exams for diagnosis purposes from those who undergo them for screening.
