The Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) has the most complete inventory of available statistics on Québec. You can access this information through its Information and Documentation Centre (CID).

The CID offers valuable documentation

• Statistical publications and socioeconomic studies produced by the ISQ;
• Statistics Canada publications, including Canadian censuses;
• Statistical documents produced by various government, private, and international agencies.

The CID offers general statistical information services

• Requests for general statistical information may be made:

• Our information clerks can help you orient your statistical research or refer you to one of our specialized administrative units or the government agency best suited to meet your needs.
• A special secluded area has been set up on the CID's premises for consultation purposes.

Delivery dates and costs

• Our business hours are from 8:30 to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Research and provision of a few readily on hand figures is available at no cost.
• For more extensive research, clients are informed in advance of the delivery date and costs.
• Complex research is referred to the appropriate administrative units of the ISQ. Certain types of requests may require special compilations the cost of which will be on a case-to-case basis.
