International comparisons

International comparisons are based on the most recent data on 250 countries and territories using about 60 economic indicators grouped by theme: area, population, labour force, consumer prices, exchange rates, gross domestic product (GDP), GDP by expenditure, foreign investments, international trade of goods with Québec. The statistical data come from several international organizations, and from national statistics organizations in the case of the United States, Canada and Québec. The differences between the statistical systems and societies in each country and between the statistical methods of various sources can reduce the comparability of the data.
