This section deals with childcare use and quality, and parent satisfaction with these services. Several surveys are used, including the Québec Longitudinal Study of Child Development, the Survey on the Childcare Use, Needs and Preferences of Families, the Québec Survey on the Quality of Educational Childcare, the Survey on the Needs of Families in the Area of Educational Day Care Services, as well as Statistics Canada’s General Social Survey.
