This bulletin provides an overview of labour market conditions in the province’s 104 RCMs in 2016. Labour market conditions are analyzed according to three indicators developed by the Institut de la statistique du Québec (ISQ) using Revenu Québec’s personal tax data, namely the number and rate of workers and the median employment income of those aged 25 to 64. In addition to comparing preliminary data for 2016 and 2015 in order to better identify recent changes in the labour market, this publication highlights the often significant disparities between supralocal regions. For its 11th edition, Bulletin Flash focuses for the first time on self-employment and its relative importance in Québec’s RCMs.
