As of 2013, organizations from every sector were asked to report their Capital expenditures on financial leases. Previously, it was the organizations holding these financial leases that were asked to report the value of these expenditures.
  
As 2013, the housing, software, and oil, mineral and gas exploration components are no longer included in the total.
  
Since the publication of the actual data for 2013, regional distribution methods have evolved. Therefore, any comparison between data for 2013 and subsequent years and data for previous years must be made with caution.
