Stress au travail et santé mentale chez les adultes québécois

Stress au travail et santé mentale chez les adultes québécois

The profile of the mental health and well-being of the Québec population 15 years of age and older is in the form of five brochures. This is the second one. On the basis of Statistics Canada’s Canadian Community Health Survey (Cycle 1.2), it is possible to describe the population of Québec workers 15 to 75 years of age in 2002, and the psychosocial constraints of work to which they are subjected. Several aspects of the stress (decision-making autonomy, social support, physical strain and so on) and working conditions (schedule, number of hours worked, etc.) are related to the state of mental health of the men and women. Possible ways of monitoring deleterious working conditions are suggested.
