Variations géographiques de la santé

Rapport de l’Enquête sociale et de santé, 1992-1993 – Volume 3

The third volume of the report on the Enquête sociale et de santé conducted in 1992-1993 at the provincial level presents an analysis of ten indicators related to the health status of the population according to three levels of geographic detail: health regions; homogeneous zones and areas; and regional subdivisions of these zones or areas. The analysis focuses on certain population groups: men, women, youth (15-24 years) and the elderly (65 years and over).

The target population of the survey comprises all private households in Québec; however, Cree and Inuit regions and Indian reserves are excluded from the survey. In total, 13,266 households responded to the survey (questionnaire completed by the interviewer) and 23,564 persons aged 15 and over in these households completed a self-administered individual questionnaire.
