To better understand the data on user satisfaction regarding health and social services in Québec, this publication features the choices and methodological strategies adopted to conduct the survey. Covered are: the survey's objectives, the elaboration of the questionnaire and the approaches for measuring the satisfaction and expectations of users, the statistical methodology adopted (sample design, sample size, selection of households, individuals, and place of consultation of a health professional and of social services, regionalization of major data collection requirements and results obtained) and certain elements with regard to the processing of the data (weighting, design effect and accuracy of estimations).
