The overall objective of the Québec Survey on Activity Limitations, Chronic Diseases and Aging, 2010-2011 (EQLAV) is to provide representative statistical data at the provincial and regional levels on the use of health and social services, as well as on unmet needs in this respect. Three population groups were studied: 1) people aged 15 and over with a disability; 2) people aged 15 and over with a long-term health condition; and 3) people aged 65 and over with or without a disability or a long-term health condition.
This second volume presents a detailed statistical profile of people aged 15 and over with a disability. It focuses on disability types, severity, number and causes; perceived health, number of long-term health problems and medication use; use of health care and social services and unmet needs in this regard; as well as on the impact of disability on daily or household activities and on social participation.
