Summary of responsibilities

The Millwright mechanic performs various tasks involving the installation, maintenance, inspection, repair and adjustment of machines and mechanical equipment.

Main duties: consults plans and specifications, reads diagrams and schematics to determine work methods, performs various basic machining operations in order to modify or produce parts for replacement, structural and installation purposes.

Education requirement

Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) with a specialization in industrial maintenance mechanics, or the equivalent recognized by the appropriate authority
