Summary of responsibilities

The Cafeteria and kitchen helper performs simple tasks in a cafeteria or kitchen, such as keeping the premises clean and equipment in good order, handling and carrying food, provisions and beverages, preparing certain meals and providing counter service; may provide service in a snack bar, act as cashier or be responsible for the vending machines.

Main duties: prepares simple foods (peels and chops vegetables, cuts cheeses, meats, etc.); participates in setting up, taking down, cleaning and arranging tables; washes pots, dishes and utensils.
